Each advent season calls us to ponder the promise of Isaiah 9:6, “For a child will be born to us. A son will be given, and the government will rest on his shoulders, and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.”
Scripture uses many names to describe the members of the Trinity, but these names were given in anticipation of Jesus Christ, our Messiah, the King of all kings, and Savior. You may be able to recite these familiar titles from memory, but have you taken time this season to treasure their meaning?

Advent is the time of looking forward to the coming of Jesus, who came as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. Mom, you are in a safe and secure place with Jesus as your Mighty God.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, the One who is who was and who is to come the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8, NASB).
