Prayer of God’s Love for the Widow

Dear God,

Sometimes, it’s easy to believe the enemy’s lie that we are not loved. The cold winter months and heightened focus on romance around Valentine’s Day provide the temptation for the widow’s focus to turn inward with the potential for a downward spiral.

Lord, You have great compassion for women who have been left alone, and you love them deeply. For the one who feels rejected and abandoned, You are her el Roi, the God who sees. For those who put their trust in you, You are their protector and refuge. Thank You that You are her Defender 

You are her provider when she feels the weight of financial pressure, and You promise to be a Father to her children. I pray that she encourages her children to look to you and that they will experience your presence in a great way.

May the woman who has been left alone look to you to satisfy her deepest need.
