Although Tami Glasco had five dads, she never viewed God through the lens of an earthly father. At the age of eight, she learned that God was her true father. This truth calmed her and stuck with her. During the turmoil of great rejection and abandonment, when afraid, she found comfort by singing “Jesus Loves Me this I know.”

“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord cares for me” (Psalm 27:10).

Tami shares with us how God can redeem broken stories and how the broken pieces of her story have shaped her into who she is today. She shares that we must let go of the life we thought we would have in order to live the life that God’s given us.

In today’s episode, Tami will share:

  • Her difficult childhood and the longing for a relationship with her father
  • The impact of a grandmother, the church, and mentors in her life
  • Restoration and healing that came from her godly husband
  • Grieving what could have been after the suicide death of her alcoholic father

Tami has six children—3 daughters by birth and 3 sons by marriage and 11 grandchildren—10 live in Brenham, Texas, and one lives with Jesus and her husband in Heaven. She is the founder of Hope Gathering with the purpose of sharing the promise of HOPE with hurting widows.
