A Prayer for the Widow and Children Left Behind

Father,

Thank You for Your compassion and care for women and children who feel they have been left behind or kicked to the side. Rejection and abandonment may cause a single mom to want to give up and throw in the towel. May she turn her heart towards You when feeling exhausted and hopeless. Please lead her to a community of faith where she will receive support, and her children will find mentors. 

I pray for the children left without an active earthly dad in their lives. Let them know that they are not a mistake. You knew them before they were even born. You will never leave or forsake them and will be right by their side. I pray that the word of God will light their path. May they memorize it and use it to defeat the lies of the enemy.

Reveal Your faithfulness in the lives of women and children who have been left alone. Please encourage them in a great way today.
