Q1 Ministry Update 2021

My heart is full as God leads us in creative and exciting ways to meet the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the widow and fatherless through Perspective Ministries!

Since the beginning of the year, we have met 1067 practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the widow and fatherless, encouraging them to put their trust in God.

How we do ministry

Meeting a practical need, such as cleaning gutters or a home repair, lightens her load. Emotional needs were met with our annual blanket delivery on Valentine’s Day to bless new widows, seasonal cards, and care packages sent at tender times. WidowLife Online Support groups continue to meet monthly, with great impact.

Linda mentions the comfort she receive like this,

“Thank you so much for the lovely blanket and taking the time to deliver it to me. It is so soft and does feel like feathers covering me. The card was so beautifully done, and Psalm 91 is such a comfort in this new season of my life. I am grateful for Perspective Ministries so that we don’t feel so alone as we move into this new phase of our lives.”

And of course opportunities to share the Gospel and direct the focus of the widow to God is the heartbeat of this ministry, knowing that God desires to meet her deepest spiritual need.

First annual Daughters of the King event!

Erica, a fatherless girl we have walked alongside since the ministry began, asked if Perspective Ministries would encourage fatherless girls and their moms for her senior project.

Of course, we wholeheartedly said yes!

This special time event was beyond what we imagined it to be as moms raising daughters without a dad came together for inspiration, challenge, and reassurance that they have not been left alone. A panel of fatherless girls provided insight and understanding for those walking behind them. Mothers were encouraged that God is with them. The applause of heaven and the presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible.

Your support of this ministry is making a difference, take it from these girls,

“Thank you for your generous donations and support of the Daughters of the King senior legacy project. It meant so much to me to see all my dreams come true. I will always be thankful to you for helping me make my vision for that day a reality (and even better)!” -Erica

“Our family was blessed to be invited to Daughters of the King! What an incredible ministry. The gift bag was fabulous and as a coffee drinker, the mug is gold 😊 “For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my (sister) because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you (Philemon 7).” -Stacie
