Kia Stephen’s story begins in college when a friend casually mentions building a bookcase with her dad, an experience Kia never had with her own father.

Kia is passionate about helping women to know God as a father. God is still good even when He allows bad things to happen in our lives. And God is sovereign and has a purpose and plan for our lives, even when life doesn’t make sense.

In this episode we talk about:

  • The powerful role that grief and honesty play in the healing process.
  • The impact of continual forgiveness
  • The importance of writing out prayers of hope for our daughters

Kia created The Father Swap Blog to help women exchange their father wounds for the love of God the Father. She is also the founder of Entrusted Women, created to equip Christian women communicators of color. In addition to these ministries, Kia faithfully serves in Bible Study Fellowship and her local church in Atlanta, Georgia. And she will be releasing her first book, Overcoming Father Wounds, on March 7, 2023. https://www.kiastephens.com/

The Forgiveness Dare is a five-day plan mentioned in the podcast. Kia will walk you through forgiving anyone for anything, including helping daughters walk through the process of forgiving their fathers.
